Geological Exploration Comprising Surface Mapping, Drilling and Drift works |
Drift at P/H site(339 m):- Only drift balance, achieved cumulative
progress of 202m with no progress since 07.02.11 due to resistance by
villagers. Work now started for the erection of ropeway. Additional
Drilling:- Machines were shifted to Dam site on 16.12.11. Surveyor
marked the drill holes on 24.12.11. Drilling is in progress since
29.12.11. |

Construction Material survey & testing |
Construction material survey got conducted through CSMRS. Two shoal areas near Dam(Sarkot) and Power House (Paithani) and rock quarries at Bhagoli identified for non wearing coarse aggregate. |

Detailed Project Report |
DPR submitted to CEA on 29.06.10. CEA Standing Committee meeting held on 14.11.11 in which some observations were raised by the committee. Reply to the observations are being prepared. TEC possible after clearance by Standing Committee. |

Environmental clearance |
EAC meeting held successfully on 27.12.11. Minutes of meeting awaited. |

6 |
CAT PLAN |
CAT plan was submitted by DFO to CF on 14.09.11. CF pointed out that CAT plan shall be prepared after, and according to the terms and conditions of, environment clearance. He also pointed that cost of CAT plan shall be between 2 to 5 percent. Matter was taken up with Nodal Officer and PCCF. The objections raised by CF, Pauri were replied back and matter is being pursued with CF, Pauri. |

Diversion of Forest land |
The complete case for forest land diversion was forwarded by DFO to CF, Pauri on 17.12.11. CF, Pauri returned back the case files to DFO on 28.12.11 and asked DM, Chamoli to issue a certificate regarding the status of Civil Forest Land whether it is forest or non forest land with regards to latest Govt. order issued by GoUK.

Acquisition of Private Land ( 31.5 Ha.) |
All 16 case have been submitted by SLAO to Secretary (Energy), GoUk for declaration under Section 6. Being followed up. Section 6 notification for 5 cases has been issued. |

Draft report submitted by HNBGU on 18.10.11. Report is being modified. |

Mining clearance |
• • Shoal area near Dam & PH – DM, Chamoli sent mining clearance
application back to SDM, Tharali for further clarification.
• Quarry area in village Bagoli – Application forwarded by DM, Chamoli
to SDM, Karanprayag, DFO & Mining Officer, Chamoli for their report. |

Construction Power |
The requirement of Construction Power has been optimized from 8MVA to 5MVA by project.
UPCL has been requested to prepare the estimate for the same. |

Gauge & Discharge data |
Gauge & Discharge site has been operative at Nand Kesari bridge since 15 Feb.,07 and at Paithani bridge near outfall since 10.01.08 and readings being recorded regularly. |

Hydro-Meteorological observations |
Readings are being observed regularly at Tharali since 07.03.07 and at P.H. site since 08.01.09. |

Collection of silt data and its analysis |
Daily silt samples are being taken and silt data analysis is being carried out regularly. |
