Technical Education for Local Youth
RHEP has envisaged a scheme for Technical education for local
youth and has been launched by SJVNL for sponsorship of the wards of
the Project Affected Families and Project Affected are on dated
22/09/06. 35 seats were got earmarked in various ITIs of Himachal Pradesh for
sponsorship of the candidates.
To get the sponsorship from SJVN for technical education, 274 applications
were received from project affected area including the wards of project
affected families. Out of these 274 applications 31 applications were from
Project Affected Families & 243 applications were from Project affected
areas of Rampur H.E.Project.. 18 candidates from Project Affected Families (17
from Panchayat Gadej & 1 from Panchayat Bawa) were allotted seats and the
balance 17 seats were distributed amongst the Panchayats falling under Project
affected area..The sponsorship letters were distributed to the selected
candidates in a function organized on 22.9.06 at Bayal where all the Panchayat
Pradahns,other public representatives and residents of the area were
present.The letters were handed over to the candidates by Chief Guest Sh. V.K
Sharma, General Manager ,Rampur HE Project to the boys and by Smt Shashi
Sharma w/o Sh. V.K.Sharma to the girls.The Chief Guest addressed the
gathering explaining all the ongoing R&R activities of the
project and wished best of luck to the selected candidates. A message of
the Chairman – cum-Managing Director Sh. H.K.Sharma was also read by the
Chief Guest. All the details of the scheme was explained to the gathering
as well to the candidates by Sh. S.K.Sharma ,Sr. Manager(E.,R&R).The
following candidates were sponsored by SJVNL for Technical Education
